Originally from Udorn, Thailand, Dr. Mia Williams has been part of the world of dentistry for well over two decades. Getting to know her patients and providing exceptional care is what she looks forward to every day she walks into the office. Her experience includes a broad range of general dentistry, from challenging restorative treatment and prosthodontics to endodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric care. Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Williams knew she wanted to be in the dental field early on. She later specifically decided to practice general dentistry after being accepted as the first associate dentist at a dynamic Dallas dental practice in 2000. That experience helped shape her career and led to a long-standing commitment to dental care.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Williams attended Texas A&M University before earning her dental degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in 2000. She went on to spend more than two decades as a solo associate general dentist with Hometown Dental in Irving. Her continuing education has included extensive training in sleep dentistry. She has also written clinical articles about dental treatment cases for publications including Dentistry Today and Contemporary Esthetics and Restorative Practice. She is also a proud and active member of the Texas Dental Association.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
In her spare time, Dr. Williams is an avid sailor and enjoys traveling and experiencing different cultures. She especially appreciates opportunities to return to and explore her native Thailand. She is also a proud mom to three Shih Tzus.
