At Epic Family Dentistry, we’re always happy to answer our patients’ questions so they have all the information they need to take great care of their smiles. How often should I get a checkup and cleaning?

For the average healthy person, Dr. Azmoodeh recommends that they should attend at least two checkups and cleanings each year, averaging out to about one every six months. These appointments enable our team to catch and treat minor issues before they can become major headaches, plus they can help stop tooth decay and gum disease before they even start!

My gums bleed every time I brush. Should I be concerned?

You might be brushing or flossing with too much pressure! Try cleaning your teeth with a lighter touch for about a week and see if this helps. If the bleeding persists, then the issue might be caused by early-stage periodontal disease, in which case you should contact us right away. The sooner we can treat you, the easier it will be!

What should I do if I think I have a cavity?

If you’ve noticed that one of your teeth has a dark spot or is experiencing some minor pain, then you should definitely give us a call. You can’t really treat a cavity on your own, and it will only get worse as time goes by. At Epic Family Dentistry, however, we can easily repair a cavity with either a tooth-colored filling or custom-made crown.

How should I replace my missing teeth?

This answer will differ from patient to patient, but for most, our first recommendation would be dental implants. They are the most complete restoration available today, able to basically recreate a real tooth from the root up. They are strong, natural-looking, and can easily last for 30 years or more. And, we are also one of the few offices in the area where you can get the entire procedure performed in one place for maximum convenience.

I have a dental emergency! Can you help?

Yes! If you are in need of immediate dental care because of a broken/knocked out tooth or severe toothache, just give our office a call, and we’ll work to see you as quickly as possible. We’re often able to schedule same-day appointments for emergency patients to ensure we can get them out of pain nice and fast.

Will you accept my dental insurance?
